Stars: This painting represents the night sky, including the beautiful stars. The sky, the stars and the constellations have held many of our People’s Tjukuurpa’s (Dreamings) and tell the story of our People and Country. It is what we have used and continue to use to identify, locate and journey through our Country.

Mother Earth: This painting represents Mother Earth, Country and the importance of it to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Country is more than a place and is inherent to our identity. We speak of Country as though we speak of a person, sustaining our lives in every aspect-spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially and culturally.

Kep: This painting represents the importance of water in many Aboriginal cultures throughout Western Australia. Water is core to life for Aboriginal people because of the cultural and spiritual relationships we have to it. There are many songlines and stories related to rivers and waterways, including how many bodies of water were formed and how they were and continue to be used. Rosie Paine
